Position: Block Manager

Office Location: Oxford Street

Portfolio location: London (all inside M25)

Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 per annum plus car allowance

Working Arrangement: Hybrid working - 2 days in the office, 3 days at home

Qualification Required: IRPM (Institute of Residential Property Management)

Responsibilities:

As a Block Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and overseeing a portfolio of residential properties within the London area.
  • Liaising with property owners, residents, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and resolve any issues.
  • Overseeing property maintenance, repairs, and renovations in collaboration with contractors and service providers.
  • Preparing budgets, financial reports, and managing service charge accounts.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant property management regulations and industry standards.
  • Conducting regular property inspections and addressing health and safety concerns promptly.
  • Attending meetings, both virtual and in-person, to discuss property management matters and share updates with stakeholders.
  • Implementing effective property management strategies to enhance property values and resident satisfaction.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A proven track record in property management, preferably with a focus on residential properties.
  • The Institute of Residential Property Management (IRPM) qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with residents, property owners, and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • A valid driver's license, as well as the ability to travel within the Birmingham area.
