Job Profile

As a Property and Estate Agency Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Estate Agency Director (EAD) in implementing strategic operating plans for your defined Area. You will drive sales performance, improve market share, and ensure operational efficiency across estate agency services, with additional oversight of financial services and land and new homes. This role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and a passion for driving performance within a competitive market.

Duties:
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive listings, market share, and overall business growth within the Area.
  • Promote a culture of canvassing, prospecting, and proactive market engagement to identify and capitalise on business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other business streams to maximise operational efficiency and drive profitability.
  • Support the EAD in devising and executing Area strategies to ensure continuous improvement and market share growth.
  • Lead and develop an effective Area team, ensuring alignment with the company's core values and standards.
  • Monitor performance against targets and KPIs, taking action to improve profitability and operational outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations across the Area.
  • Represent the company as the face of the Area, maintaining high standards of professionalism and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive recruitment, retention, and development strategies for estate agency professionals, ensuring business continuity and growth.
  • Take responsibility for internal audits, health and safety compliance, and operational performance across the Area.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and development of team members.

Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in estate agency management or a similar leadership role within the property industry.
  • Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
  • Strategic thinker with experience in driving market share and business growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business streams.
  • Strong knowledge of property management, estate agency regulations, and market trends.
  • Experience with marketing initiatives, including social media, prospecting, canvassing, and client engagement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Experience in managing financial results, budgets, and profitability targets.
  • A strong focus on building a high-performance culture and motivating teams to achieve excellence.
  • Demonstrates strategic leadership, providing clear direction and purpose across the Area.
  • Encourages a culture of collaboration, shared vision, and continuous improvement.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to enhance business operations and increase market share.
  • Serves as a mentor and coach, supporting team development and succession planning.

Hours of Work:
  • Monday to Friday: 8:30am 6:00pm
  • Saturdays: 9:00am 5:00pm (alternate weekends with a day off in lieu)
