We're seeking a skilled contractor to join a global function focused on optimising physical office spaces for an international business. This remote role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in Europe while collaborating with teams, landlords, and suppliers across regions like Australia, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and North America.
This position requires adaptability to work across time zones and occasional travel. Success will be measured by delivering a streamlined, cost-effective office space portfolio that aligns with strategic business goals.
Remote - UK - Real Estate Project Manager - Contract - 12 Months
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Strategy Development: Partner with internal stakeholders and leadership to shape a forward-thinking strategy for managing physical office spaces globally.
- Program Oversight: Provide regular updates in governance meetings on strategy progress, including benefits realisation for transactions and investment proposals for future initiatives.
- Options Analysis & Financial Modelling: Assess and model options for office spaces using business strategy, commercial objectives, lease terms, and market insights to recommend optimal solutions.
- Transaction Negotiation: Collaborate with internal teams, landlords, and external partners worldwide to manage the full lifecycle of real estate transactions-new leases, relocations, renewals, downsizing, terminations, and opportunities like break clauses or rent reviews.
- Project Coordination: Work with real estate specialists to schedule and execute projects (e.g., relocations, closures, fit-outs, temporary spaces) with minimal disruption to operations.
Qualifications & SkillsTechnical Expertise:
- Proven experience in lease negotiations and drafting lease agreements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage design and build vendors, delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Track record of achieving measurable outcomes in workplace or real estate projects.
- Strong numeracy skills, with knowledge of real estate finance principles (e.g., capex, depreciation).
- Data-savvy, with the ability to showcase results through analytics.
