Rent Service Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and highly motivated individual to join a dynamic Rent Service Team. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient collection of rent and arrears while providing support to residents in need.

As a Rent Service Officer, you will manage a designated portfolio of residential and non-residential accounts, ensuring rent collection is maximized while adhering strictly to the pre-court action protocol. You will work proactively to meet collection targets in a challenging economic and social environment, providing advice to residents and making referrals to support agencies where necessary. Your role will also involve identifying and implementing best practices for arrears recovery within the team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing rent arrears cases, a strong understanding of housing law, and the ability to handle difficult customer interactions both over the phone and in person. You must be highly organised, numerically proficient, and confident in using Northgate and other office software. Strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work under pressure to meet key performance indicators are essential.
