The Role
Are you experienced in property development and passionate about creating spaces that benefit communities? Do you have the expertise to lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance and excellence along the way?
As the Senior Estate Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the 23-acre Westway Estate. Reporting to the Head of Property, and working closely with the CEO, you’ll focus on strategic planning, overseeing capital projects, and ensuring the estate meets its full potential for both commercial and community use.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the Estate Plan to guide the Trust’s strategic goals.
- Oversee capital projects, including tendering, contractor management, and ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
- Act as the Principal Designer for projects as required, ensuring legal compliance.
- Lead the planning process, including liaising with statutory bodies and ensuring effective community consultation.
- Manage and support the Grounds and Gardens team.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, on property and planning matters.
- Develop and implement the Trust’s Asset Management Strategy.
- Manage budgets for refurbishment and capital projects, ensuring value for money and timely delivery.
- Provide support for fundraising efforts related to capital projects.
- Keep up to date with relevant legislation and advise the CEO and Trustees on compliance.

The Person
We’re looking for someone with:
- A tertiary qualification in construction, architecture, or a related field.
- At least 7-10 years of experience in property development or project management.
- Proven expertise in taking projects through all RIBA stages (0-7).
- Experience in managing refurbishments, new builds, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong project and budget management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
- A commitment to equity, diversity, and sustainability.
It’s a bonus if you have property and asset management experience and a strong understanding of building regulations.
