Do you have demonstrable reception and administration experience? Are you professional yet friendly and empathetic? If yes, Signature Recruitment is looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our client at a prestigious London University hospital. The role is for six weeks, full time and office based.

As a Medical Receptionist, you will provide a welcoming environment for patients, with an excellent level of customer service that is professional yet empathetic. You will need to be aware of the patients in the clinic so as to ensure they are following the instructions regarding their scans - for example those that are fasting. In addition, you will provide clerical administrative support to the team. To include maintaining records, processing patient appointment letters, and communicating protocol to patients prior to their appointments and obtaining feedback for the wider team.

Medical Receptionist Key Responsibilities:
  • Acting as the first point of contact for patients arriving at reception for appointments and scans. Providing a warm and friendly welcome and ensuring they adhere to the required protocol for their procedure
  • Processing patient appointment letters, collating scanning lists, updating records, and gathering feedback
  • Assisting in the daily confirmation of upcoming appointments and checking records against scanning lists to ensure that the lists accurately match
  • Dealing with emails, telephone calls and in person queries in a professional and friendly manner and signposting as necessary
  • Providing general reception duties such as managing deliveries and post, keeping the waiting area clean and tidy, replenishing refreshment supplies
  • Other ad hoc administrative duties to support the team, such as filing
Medical Receptionist Key Skills:
  • Experience in Reception and Administration in a customer facing role
  • A warm and empathetic manner, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and care
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills, in particular accurate data input
  • A personable and proactive team player with a flexible approach
