We are seeking a talented Medical Reception/Administrator to join our client's team and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of their clinic.There are two rolls available, one a full-time permanent position and the second a full-time six month fixed term contract while a member of staff takes a planned sabbatical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expertly manage doctors' diaries, appointments, and patients' requests
- Handle all clinic correspondence, emails, mails, and communication over the phone
- Oversee the efficient functioning of the entire clinic
- Order office and medical supplies, vaccines, and medical equipment
- Conduct brief consultations with patients, prioritise appointments, and address queries
- Chase clinical letters, test results from laboratories, external doctors, and hospitals
- Assist doctors and patients in urgent situations
- Book appointments for patients with external specialists
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and notes
- Welcome and greet patients, registering new and upcoming patients
- Ensure doctors' rooms and common areas are maintained in excellent condition
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a similar reception/administrative role within a healthcare setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in handling confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is an advantage
The practice is open from 8:30am to 5:30pm from Monday to Friday across the three locations listed above. You may need to attend different locations on different days of the week.
