Berry Recruitment are seeking an experienced Receptionist/Administrator to provide a professional front-of-house service and administrative support in a busy, community-focused environment. You will be the first point of contact for visitors and service users, ensuring excellent customer service while managing enrolments, course coordination, and data administration. Our client is based in North London

Location: North LondonPay Rate: £14.84 per hour (Umbrella £18.30 per hour)Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PMContract: TemporaryDBS Required (Basic or Enhanced)

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and handle enquiries in person, by phone, and via email.
  • Support student and stakeholder enrolments, maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with course coordination and scheduling.
  • Produce and distribute marketing and publicity materials.
  • Maintain digital and physical records, ensuring efficient organisation.
  • Process and record cash transactions.
  • Support and supervise volunteers and work experience students.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Basic or Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Ability to provide references covering the last three years.
  • Experience in a front-facing reception or administrative role.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital record-keeping.
  • Excellent organisation and time management.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience handling cash transactions.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and data protection.
  • Experience in marketing and publicity.
  • Ability to support volunteers or junior team members.
