We are seeking a personable and well-presented Receptionist to join a wonderful SEN school in West London. We are looking for someone who can provide outstanding customer service, foster positive partnerships and relationships, and create an exceptional first impression for all visitors to their school.

This is a Term Time only + 2 weeks role, and the actual is £21,000 - £26,000 depending on experience (full time equivalent c.£25,000 - £30,000). The salary is flexible for the right person but please apply only if you're looking for Term Time only work and can commit to the below hours. 

Hours are 8am - 4.30pm, and is a fully office-based role, so please ensure you can commute to Acton on a daily basis.

  • Greet and Welcome Visitors: Serve as the first point of contact for all school visitors. Greet them warmly, ascertain the purpose of their visit, and direct them to the appropriate location.
  • Handle Communications: Answer phone calls in a polite and professional manner, redirect calls to appropriate staff, and take messages as required. Manage incoming and outgoing mail and email correspondence.
  • Administrative Support: Assist in the preparation of school communications, such as newsletters, bulletins, and event notifications. Support staff and teachers by photocopying documents, preparing mail-outs, and organising files.
  • Student Interaction: Attend to students who come to the reception with queries or issues, directing them to relevant staff or providing information as needed.
  • Safety and Security: Monitor entry and exit of visitors to ensure the safety of students and staff. Maintain a log of visitors and issue visitor badges.
  • Scheduling: Manage the school calendar, schedule appointments for school administrators, and assist in arranging staff meetings and student-parent meetings.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance and lateness. Input data into the school management system as required.
