Role Purpose:

Our Local Authority Client is looking for a Receptionist for their SEND Hub. The hub is a busy building where sessions take place for Children with Special Educational Needs.

Main duties:

  • Meeting and greeting all visitors and ensure they sign in and out
  • Manage the centres room booking system.
  • Report all building repairs and maintenance item to the facilities team
  • Conduct mandatory fire alarm test, emergency light testing and fire extinguisher checks.
  • Distribute all incoming post.
  • Ensure that reception area is tidy, and all notice boards are up to date.
  • Open the building and unlock the doors.
  • Conduct relevant building checks on daily / weekly basis.
  • Action Health & Safety related items.

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office
  • Understanding importance of confidentiality and safeguarding children
  • Able to deal with competing demands through planning and prioritization
