Join our team as a School Receptionist.  This vital role serves as the first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors, ensuring the smooth operation of the school’s front desk and providing essential administrative support.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Greeting and Assisting Visitors: Welcome students, parents, and visitors warmly and professionally. Provide accurate information and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Managing Phone Calls: Efficiently answer, direct, and manage phone calls, take messages, and handle inquiries.
  • Administrative Support: Perform various administrative tasks including filing, photocopying, and data entry. Maintain and update student records accurately.
  • Communication: Distribute school communications such as newsletters, notices, and other important information to students and parents.
  • Scheduling: Manage appointments and schedules for school staff, book meeting rooms, and coordinate with external visitors.
  • Safety and Security: Oversee the sign-in/sign-out process for students and visitors to adhere to school security protocols.
  • Supplies Management: Keep track of office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role within an educational setting.  
  • Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • SIMS or school Information management system experience
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Friendly and approachable demeanour.
SAFEGUARDING - Enhanced vetting will be completed on the successful applicant - A DBS clearance subscribed to the Update Service would be advantageous
