We are seeking a dedicated School Receptionist to manage a front desk daily and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. As the first point of contact for our school, the receptionist will play a crucial role in setting a welcoming tone and providing information to students, parents, and visitors.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the school.
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office.
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing.
  • Manage communication with parents, students, and staff through emails

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role, ideally within a school
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines and printers).
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Days and Hours:  This role will be to work every Monday term time only from 8am to 3.30pm (30min break)

Dates of cover:  end of March to November 2025

Location:  Ealing
