THE ROLE
As a Junior Consultant, you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with both clients and candidates, manage the recruitment process from start to finish, and contribute to the growth of our business. You will be provided with support and training across all aspects of the role - ultimately managing your own workload, building up your knowledge and experience over time so that you eventually handle more of your own briefs and start to develop your sector.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Client management -building deep long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored recruitment solutions to ensure you're the first person they call when they have a new role they need help with
  • Candidate support - sourcing candidates through a variety of channels, and screening and interviewing them to ensure you can accurately match the right jobs for candidates and vice versa. Building long-lasting candidate relationships, being their point of contact along all aspects of their recruitment journey
  • Business development - continually build out your sector by proactively identifying, pursuing, and obtaining new business opportunities. Stay informed of your market by keeping up to date with industry trends, networking and attending industry events

YOU
To be successful in the role of a Junior Consultant you will need to:

  • Have relevant experience in recruitment, marketing, or customer services, or a strong interest in pursuing a career in recruitment
  • Bring bags of energy and enthusiasm and a real desire to make a difference to someone's career. We build trusted partnerships and as a Stopgapper you'll be naturally friendly, positive, driven to succeed and a great team player
  • Have clear and concise communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Be comfortable and confident building relationships with people at all levels and with carrying out business development - you will be tenacious and creative in building up both new and existing client relationships
  • You will also have the following skills and attributes:
    • Proven experience in relationship management and customer service - with great listening skills and the ability to both coach and negotiate with candidates and clients
    • A demonstrably high degree of ethics and integrity and ability to build trust with people at all levels
    • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to manage your time effectively
    • An honest, open and collaborative working style

We have a hybrid working offering (this is currently at 1 day per week in the office, however for this role we expect 3 days per week in the office for the first 6 months to allow for training) and a fun office environment (including free breakfast, fruit and a fully stocked drink fridge).
