We are a freelance recruitment start-up seeking a driven and resourceful Recruitment Consultant to build a new client base from scratch. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career, take initiative, and establish themselves in the recruitment industry, all while working flexibly.

You will be responsible for identifying and securing London-based SMEs that require permanent recruitment services for office-based or hybrid roles in Customer Service, Administration, and Business Support functions. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, entrepreneurial, and eager to take ownership of their client base without formal recruitment experience or training. You’ll be expected to work independently using minimal resources (company email only), so strong research and business development skills are essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and manage a client base from scratch by identifying London-based SMEs in need of recruitment services.
  • Research and create your own outreach strategy to target relevant businesses using available free online directories and other resources.
  • Maintain an MS Excel sheet to track potential clients, business development interactions, and campaign progress.
  • Develop and maintain an active list of live managed recruitment campaigns.
  • Agree recruitment timelines with hiring managers to manage client expectations and deliver results.
  • Promote our freelance recruitment services and 48-hour search and selection offering to potential clients.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Strong interest in business development and building client relationships.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal resources.
  • Excellent research skills to identify potential clients using free online directories and other tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience maintaining MS Excel sheets to track progress.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach to securing new business.
  • No prior recruitment experience required, but sales or business development experience is beneficial.

This role offers a great deal of flexibility and the opportunity to work autonomously while taking ownership of your business development strategy.

If you're motivated to succeed and eager to grow, we want to hear from you!
