We require a Service Design SME Movers to cover an existing workload within Metropolitan Police, based in Holborn Police Station HQ Offices (Hybrid working – 3 days per week office).

This is an interim position for an initial 6 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload.

Job Purpose:

  • Help shape and support the development of movers solutions that improve the effectiveness, efficiency and user experience of the to-be process design.
  • Insight and oversight of BAU change and how this aligns to the Programme direction and initiatives.
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure the impacts of potential design is fully known and understood across the wider MBS group.
  • Ensure that the design is fit for purpose and aligned to the strategic direction of the programme covering the breadth and depth of the solution required by Met Shared Services and alignment to the BPO / Service requirements.
  • Support the definition and development of reporting solutions that best meet the needs of the function and the customer.
  • Create and maintain successful relationships across MBS Programme, HR and other key stakeholder groups.

Skills and experience needed to be successful in this role:

  • Will join the MET Business Services Programme team, posting officers and supporting moves around due to promotions and interviews.
  • You will be someone with experience in moving candidates in high volumes.
  • You will be someone who can look at the current process and advise a better process – Business change experience would fit in well with this role.
  • You will review best practices and be someone who has worked in a role driven organisation. 
  • You will have proven experience with business process with full end to end experience.
  • Experience of Oracle – someone with a similar style background such as NHS.
