Position: Shift Engineer (Mechanical Bias)



Location: Liverpool Street, City of London



Salary: Circa 60,000 (including shift allowance & bonus)



Shift Pattern: Continental Shifts (7 AM - 7 PM & 7 PM - 7 AM)



About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established End User company, managing the maintenance of a high-profile commercial site. As a Shift Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the building, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of critical systems. This is a varied and hands-on position, ideal for a professional with experience in commercial building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on key building systems.
  • Experience with commercial towers & contracts covering ladnlord services.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, ensuring systems are always operating efficiently.
  • Oversee and maintain generators and plant rooms.
  • Manage Air Handling Units (AHUs) and Fan Coil Units (FCUs).
  • Ensure critical building systems are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Carry out HV & LV switching to ensure the safe operation of electrical systems.

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications:

    • Mechanical: Level 2/3 in mechanical qualifications (essential).
    • Desirable: AP in electrical or mechanical (but not essential).

Experience:

    • 4+ years of experience in Building Services within commercial environments.
    • Proven ability in commercial building maintenance and facilities management.

Skills:

    • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
    • Strong commitment to high standards and health & safety.
