info
  • The role is for a Compliance professional with experience in the insurance sector, particularly within an MGA, Broker, Insurer, or Lloyd's Syndicate.
  • Candidates should have previous generalist Compliance experience and will work closely with the Senior Compliance Officer in a small team of two.
  • Key responsibilities include managing delegated underwriting agreements, monitoring compliance developments, and reviewing regulatory materials.
  • The position offers a salary of £40,000 to £50,000 and is suitable for individuals with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Training will be provided for some tasks, and the role supports a hybrid work environment.

This role would suit an individual with previous experience in a generalist Compliance capacity within the insurance sector (MGA, Broker, Insurer or Lloyd’s Syndicate), who would like to work as part of a small team, supporting the Senior Compliance Officer of this niche coverholder based in the City. This is a varied and interesting role, working as just a team of two and will include responsibilities such as:

  • Ownership of the delegated underwriting agreements and joint ownership with the Senior Claims Technician of the delegated claims handling agreements, liaising as necessary with principal insurers in the negotiation and renewal of such agreements
  • Monitoring and advising the Business on all relevant legislative and compliance developments impacting on the business and the Company
  • Regularly reviewing all regulatory and statutory materials relevant to the business
  • Investigating compliance risks and issues and providing feedback as necessary
  • Providing compliance advice, guidance and support to the business
  • Ensuring that procedure manuals and policies are kept up to date and accurate, and they reflect the current regulatory and legislative requirements
  • Creating an audit framework which is suitable for the Business and undertaking monitoring reviews
  • Assisting in the handling of all complaints ensuring all 'lessons learnt’ are actioned; providing regular and ad hoc reports

It is not anticipated that candidates joining will have experience in all tasks listed above - therefore, some training can be provided

This role is being offered on a hybrid basis.
