We are currently recruiting for a fantastic temporary opportunity as my clients M&E Compliance Manager on an ongoing temporary basis (5 months minmum), reporting to office based in Kings Cross 3 days a week, 2 days from home. This opportunity is paying 31.99 PAYE / 42.05 Umbrella (per hour).

The ideal candidate should have 5 years minimum experience working in Compliance and the client will be looking for someone with managerial experience, who is well versed in different compliance workstreams.

Role Overview:
The M&E Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing the receipt, evaluation, and management of compliance certificates across various Compliance disciplines. The role ensures that all certificates submitted by external managing agents meet required standards. This position will also provide feedback to internal teams, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to senior management. The M&E Compliance Manager is responsible for managing the review and approval of compliance certificates related to fire risk assessments, water testing, gas, asbestos, and LOLER. They will oversee certification from both Appointed and Non-appointed External Managing Agent (EMA) sites, ensuring all documents adhere to internal policies and regulatory standards. This role also focuses on process improvement, long-term strategy, and providing training to EMA managers.

Key Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering disciplines.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in M&E roles, with at least 2 years in a compliance or management position.
Certification: Relevant certifications in M&E disciplines (e.g., NEBOSH, CIBSE) are highly desirable.
Certification: Relevant certifications in areas such as fire safety, asbestos management, and LOLER are desirable.

Skills & Competencies:
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of fire, asbestos, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing standards, including the relevant regulations and codes of practice.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous review skills, with the ability to spot discrepancies or non-compliance issues within certificates.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey feedback clearly and professionally to internal teams.
Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple compliance streams and deadlines effectively.
Reporting & Data Management: Competence in using compliance management systems and generating reports using Excel or similar tools.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying compliance challenges and implementing corrective actions.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of fire risk assessments, water testing, gas safety, asbestos regulations, and LOLER standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for report generation and data management.
Process Improvement: Proven experience in process improvement and strategy development.
Training: Capable of providing training to non-technical colleagues on compliance documents.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):
Percentage of certificates accepted upon first submission.
Timeliness in reviewing and responding to certificate submissions.
Reduction in the number of rejected certificates over time.
Efficiency in reporting compliance status to senior management.
Satisfaction of internal teams with feedback and communication.

This role is crucial in ensuring that the company maintains the highest levels of compliance and safety across its EMA-managed sites, contributing to the overall strategy and long-term goals of the organisation. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
