We have an opportunity for a Resident Liaison Officer within the Social Housing and Property Maintenance sector. You will be working in a dynamic team as a Resident Liaison Officer within the Planned Maintenance division.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a passion for customer service to become an integral part of planned maintenance operations on social housing in Lewisham and Greenwich. The role is working within the Social Housing sector for a leading main contractor. As a Resident Liaison Officer you will be tasked with building strong relationships with tenants to minimise disruption during refurbishments by ensuring they receive all necessary information and assistance when required.

Daily undertakings for the Resident Liaison Officer will include:

  • Maintain and update the on-site Database to reflect on-going works.
  • Keep the on-site database current and reflective of ongoing activities.
  • Regularly engage in meetings with client representatives and tenants to ensure exceptional customer service is upheld at all times.
  • Standardize and enforce a consistent customer care approach.
  • Act as the escalation contact for handling tenant complaints.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and supervise the Tenant-Customer-Resident relationships across multiple sites.

Essential Requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with residents from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communicator who can work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Empathetic, patient, and a customer-centric approach to resident relations.
  • Resilience under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in social housing or community development projects.
  • Experience working for a Contractor or in a client-side resident liaison/community engagement role, preferably within planned/reactive maintenance or asset management.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies governing social housing and community engagement.
