Mech Tech are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist to support and optimise IT systems within the renewable energy sector. This contract role, operating outside IR35, offers a competitive day rate of £870 and provides the flexibility of remote work from within the UK. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, maintaining, and improving infrastructure that supports innovative renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure to support renewable energy operations.
- System Optimization: Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of IT systems to meet operational demands.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to align IT strategies with business objectives.
- Security Measures: Implement best practices for cybersecurity and compliance with industry standards.
- Upgrades & Maintenance: Oversee system updates, patches, and hardware/software upgrades with minimal disruption
Required Skills & Experience
- Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization.
- Renewable Energy Knowledge: Familiarity with IT applications in the renewable energy sector is a strong advantage.
- Cloud Systems Proficiency: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Cybersecurity: Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and implementing robust security protocols.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Communication: Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and present technical concepts clearly
