Estimator - Social Housing, Planned Maintenance, Decarbonisation / Retrofit

We are rorking with a leading property services contractor to recruit a Senior Estimator to take responsibility for pricing winning planned maintenance / decent homes and decarbonisation / retrofit tenders for housing associations, local councils and RSL's.
Working alongside the Bid Team and Business Development team, you will manage the pricing programme on multiple bids, buiding up from first principles using Excel.
Estimator Responsibilities:
- Maintaining an accurate cost base by regular review of market price
- Co-ordination of tender bids
- Check and acknowledge tender documents and amendments
- Organise copy of tender documents and amendments for appropriate parties
- Record supply chain and performance data
- Analyse, compare, and Input subcontractor bids into tender
- Build up rates from first principles where necessary to support subcontractor quotes
- Using first principles build ups to construct a fully formed bid using a direct labour workforce
- Assembling relevant documents for settlement and handover meeting
Estimator Experience:
- You will have a proven track record of producing the commercial pricing for multi million bid submissions working within Social Housing Planned Maintenance / Decent Homes Markets / Decarbonisation / Retrofit Markets
- Understanding of various forms of Procurement Process - including 2 stage tenders
- Experience of building up from first principles using Excel
- Highlighting tender risk & opportunities - Practical, Commercial & Contractual
- Preparation of notes and clarifications for tender submissions
- Demonstrate ability in the pricing of tender Preliminaries
- Ability to resource the tender through in-depth experience of Supply Chain capacity
