Butler Rose is working with one of the largest housing associations in London and the South-East in their search for a Service Charge Officer to contribute to their vision of delivering high-quality service charges to residents. This is a contract role till 9th March 2025 with hybrid working (2 days in the office - Mondays and Tuesdays) and will pay £22.24 PAYE an hour to the successful candidate. This role will help deliver high-quality, transparent, and clear service charge accounts to residents. This role is pivotal to ensuring resident satisfaction and involves managing service charge accounts for a specific region. Key Responsibilities: As a Service Charge Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring service charge compliance and delivering accurate accounts. Your responsibilities will include: * Collaborating with local officers to align service charges with regional properties. * Engaging with operational staff to simplify service charge accounts for residents. * Explaining complex service charge processes and legislation in an accessible manner. * Identifying risks and proactively seeking solutions to maintain a high standard of service. What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will: * Have an in-depth understanding and experience of working with fixed and variable service charge regimes. * Be skilled at reading and interpreting tenancy agreements, leases, and deeds of transfer. * Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. * Be proficient in IT, with advanced Excel skills. * Be confident working with numbers and compliance legislation.
