A prominent law firm has a new permanent job opportunity for a Senior Print Technician with a pro-active approach to service delivery based in London. The Print team sit within the wider technology team and experience and skills required have a technical leaning.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert technical support, ensuring the smooth operation of equipment, and delivering high-quality print services to all users.

The Senior Print Room Technician will work closely with the Print Room Team Lead to ensure operational targets are met and that print room services are delivered efficiently and effectively. It is fundamental that the role holder appreciates the need for expert, timely and accurate work. The role will suit a hands-on individual with a pro-active approach to service delivery, who is flexible with the ability to think laterally and solve problems

Keyn job responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure all print and finishing equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning to full capacity.
  • Act as a point of contact for all clients and colleagues with digital and hard copy requests, providing guidance and advice on the preparation.
  • Proofing prepared electronic bundles efficiently in accordance with the job requirements.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure maximum performance.
  • Coordinate the delivery of print services in line with the team’s schedule and service level agreements.
  • Provide expert technical support to team members and users, including resolving print-related issues and answering technical questions.
  • Manage and maintain print logs and records to ensure an accurate overview of print room activity.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance and streamline print operations.
  • Train and mentor junior team members to develop their technical skills and their ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Deliver Dispute Resolution Trainee Print Room training
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure print room services are delivered in line with wider business objectives.
  • Provide regular reports on print room performance, activities, and improvement opportunities.
  • Engage with external suppliers to build and maintain effective strategic partnerships.
  • Proactively escalate and service issues to the Print & Records Manager
  • Demonstrable commitment to professional development and the development of their team.

Key job requirements and person specifications include:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a print technician role, preferably in a law firm or corporate environment.
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting print equipment.
  • Strong industry expertise, wide knowledge of production equipment and technologies.
  • Familiarity with software such as Adobe Creative Suite, service now, e-bible and bundling technology, Microsoft Office Suite, and Fiery Command Workstation
  • Proven experience of working with a team of technicians.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adapting your approach to the audience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstratable experience of delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Demonstrable commitment to professional development and the development of their team.
