Product Director - £100,000 Circa + PackageAn excellent opportunity has arisen with a global SaaS company for a Product and Technology Director to lead the development and execution of their product strategy, as well as overseeing the technological infrastructure required to support these products. This individual will be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring product excellence, and maintaining alignment between technology initiatives and business objectives. This is an exciting time to join with significant investment being made within product development and business transformation and this role will play a key role in the company’s success.Role and Responsibilities:Product and Platform Strategy
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product, platform and digital strategy aligned to their overall goals and objectives.
  • Define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and allocate resources effectively to meet business targets.
  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform product direction.
Product Development and Management
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and delivery of high-quality products and features across the full product development lifecycle.
  • Lead project management to deliver best practice in the delivery of product and platform initiatives.
Technology Infrastructure
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of technological infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies that support business growth and scalability.
  • Implement best practices for security, reliability, and performance across all technology systems.
Team Leadership
  • Line management of 3 direct reports and oversight of the wider team (circa 30 people)
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of product managers, engineers, and other technology professionals.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for the team and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment on product and technology initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and gather feedback to drive product improvements.
Financial Management
  • Develop and manage budgets for product development and technology infrastructure.
  • Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation for maximum ROI.
Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 8 years of product or category leadership role
  • Proven track record as part of a senior management team with extensive knowledge of business transformation
  • Sector experience in data and technology, digital, marketplace and/or eCommerce
  • Experience in developing and leading high-performing teams
  • Report writing and strategy development
  • Experience in monitoring financial forecasts and predicted growth insights
  • Educated to degree level
  • Scaled agile frameworks, Kanban, Scrum
