Programme Manager - Utilities - Hybrid Working - Inside IR35

Our client are currently looking to hire a Programme Manager with Rollout project experience to join the team on a contract basis. This role would be hybrid working, with client locations in either Winchester or London.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience managing medium, large change
  • Experience working in cross-functional, agile teams, preferably having previously supported the transformation to a more agile environment
  • Experience of delivering programmes with budgets in excess of £500k
  • Financial and project planning expertise
  • Experienced in either Agile or Waterfall Methodologies is preferable

Accountabilities:

  • Defines programme governance models and reporting structures for effective programme delivery, and communicates (and updates) business stakeholders
  • Oversees prioritisation and selection of programmes, managing overall portfolio and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
  • Provides regular reports to other area leads and wider business
  • Proactively identifies and mitigates critical stakeholder risks and concerns
  • Responsible for supporting cross-functional teams in programme or product delivery
  • Manages changes in scope, costs, resources, and timing within the framework of agreed governance and change control processes
  • Manages risk with close management of effective mitigations, escalating risks and issues where necessary
  • Assists with creation of detailed and accurate budgets and provide accurate forecasts monthly
  • Takes accountability for quality and accuracy of performance and deliverables
  • Supports the readiness delivery and smooth handover into the operations teams
  • Builds effective relationships across the business, customer, and supplier organisations to drive trust and respect

Qualifications:

A recognised project management qualification such as APM or Prince 2
