Description

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Support collaborative projects with external partners and to assist in management of key large projects; manage timelines and deliverables, plan and oversee meetings of participants, and in drafting scientific reports, grant applications and presentations.
  • Lead in developing, tracking and monitoring spend on grant budgets.
  • Work with the core support team and Department Manager in the periodic preparation of reports on the portfolio of grants.
  • Coordinate post award administration e.g. contact research sponsors, reporting on scientific progress, responding to issues, liaison with the core support team and Department Manager in resolving on-going queries on centre projects.

Profile

Person Specification:

  • Project management experience within higher education or a research environment.
  • Strong experience of managing project budgets.
  • Strong experience of liaising and working effectively with a wide range of staff from different disciplines.
  • Ability to assess priorities, organise workloads without supervision and initiate action and resolve problems where appropriate.
