The Greater London Authority are looking to recruit a Project Support Officer to join their Clean Energy Strategy team on an interim basis, until 31st March 2025. This role is ideal for someone with experience working as a member of a large project team and maintaining project delivery plans. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring that project delivery, progress, costs, and benefits are effectively managed.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Work as a key member of a large project team, contributing to the creation and maintenance of project or programme delivery plans.
  • Monitor and manage delivery, progress, costs, and benefits of projects.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and negotiate agreements or trade-offs to keep project delivery on track.
  • Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise presentation of information.
  • Work within tight timescales, maintaining a high level of organisation and attention to detail.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience working as a member of a large project team.
  • Demonstrated ability in the creation and maintenance of project or programme delivery plans.
  • Strong experience in stakeholder management, including the identification of risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Excellent communication and presentational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, or equivalent.
