Senior Research Engineer - Reasoning

Hybrid in London (3x a week)

Up to £120k

The role involves leading research in reasoning and semantics within the ML team, setting research priorities and mentoring junior staff.

You'll collaborate with stakeholders to apply research findings, stay current with AI/ML advancements, and drive intellectual property generation.

The role also includes representing the company at academic and industry events, and contributing to grant proposals for securing research funding.

Requirements:

  • PhD in computer science, AI, or related fields, specializing in reasoning, semantics, or symbolic AI.
  • Deep understanding of knowledge representation, logic programming, semantic web, ontologies, and transformer-based models such as LLM and VLA networks.
  • Skilled in Python, Java, C++, and deep learning tools like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Proven track record of independent research and publication in leading AI/ML conferences and journals.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills for presenting complex technical ideas.
