About the Role:

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Grant Programme Coordinator to manage and develop voluntary sector grant programmes, including the Wandsworth Grant Fund and other ad-hoc funding initiatives. This temporary role is essential in ensuring effective assessment, funding allocation, and monitoring of grants that support our community.

Key Responsibilities:

Grant Management: Oversee the entire grant-making cycle, from application receipt to payment and impact evaluation. Ensure all grant agreements are drafted to a high standard.

Assessment Coordination: Collaborate with Council officers and partner organisations to facilitate thorough assessments of grant applications. Ensure that eligibility checks and recommendations align with grant themes and organisational capacity.

Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison with various stakeholders, including Council members and community organisations. Provide clear verbal and written updates on the Wandsworth Grants Fund and related projects.

  • Project Support: Assist in the management of discrete projects related to service development and commissioning. Provide support in contract management for initiatives led by the Voluntary Sector Partnership Team.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Produce concise assessments and recommendations for the Grants Overview and Scrutiny Sub-Committee. Draught reports for Directors' Boards and committee meetings.
  • Capacity Building: Engage in sustainability assessments and capacity building activities to enhance the effectiveness of funded projects.
  • Who You Are: The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Expertise in Grant Management: Proven experience in managing grant programmes, including project management and contract administration.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to assess applications critically, ensuring compliance with eligibility criteria and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to draught clear reports and agreements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Experience in engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Council members, community organisations, and the public.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and act as a deputy when required.
