The Role
The Assistant Bar Manager has a central role to play, working alongside the Head of Bars and supporting the operations team in creating an intuitive, refined world class bar experience to each guest in Park Chinois.
The main aim is to enhance the overall bar experience and provide a refined world class service to each guest in Park Chinois. Reporting directly to the Head of Bars, the Assistant Bar Manager will be jointly responsible for directing the flow of service by assisting the Head of Bars with the day-to-day bar operation, as well as any critical duties such as stock control, budget management and leadership, training, and development of the bar team to ensure highest standards are maintained.
The Assistant Bar Manager will also be supporting the Head of Bars and looking after beverage service, ensuring all bar staff members are briefed and service is running smoothly. You will be responsible for all operational tasks, such as opening, closing, cashing up and reporting on the revenue of the restaurant.
The Assistant Bar Manager will be able to create eclectic combinations for each guest with skilful techniques and immense creativity. Experts in the craft, they will be able to experiment with rare ingredients and premium spirits to curate infusions of seasonally inspired mixtures and present them in bespoke glassware with uniquely shaped ice and garnishes. At all times the Assistant Bar Manager will interpret guests preferences and deliver within Park Chinois bar list, guidelines, and ethos.
Skills and Experience requirements
The ideal candidate will have at least two years experience working as a Bar Supervisor or Assistant Bar Manager, in a well-established restaurant, private members club or comparable establishment.
Confident professional with a strong personality and guest relations skills, as well as experience working with diverse high-profile guests.
Exceptional service standards with an excellent guest service skill, always exceeding guest expectations.
Possess excellent Wines & Spirits knowledge.
Asian cuisine knowledge is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
