Boyds Grill & Wine Bar is looking for Bar Manager to join a growing team passionate about British ingredients, fine wine and delivering a memorable guest experience in our stunning Central London restaurant with a historic Victorian interior.
The main purpose of this role will be to work independently and collaboratively with fellow team members, whilst mentoring junior team members, to deliver a fantastic guest experience, from first contact to last
Job Purpose:
The Bar Manager is responsible for all day-to-day bar operations. This includes developing the team by providing strong, positive leadership and constructive feedback as well as delivering a great guest experience through operational excellence, which contributes to profitable top line sales.
You already have:
- + 3 years experience at supervisor level.
- + 3 years experience working at similar high end venue.
- + 3 years Bar experience.
- Passion for hospitality.
- Ability to be a role model.
- Flexibility around working hours.
- Mixology understanding and creativity.

Key Activities:
- Take responsibility for the business performance of the bar
- Analyse and plan restaurant sales levels and profitability
- Prepare reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, beverage control and sales
- Opportunity to create your own signature cocktail list
- Follow end of day closing protocols
- Create and execute plans for department sales, profit and staff development
- Understand budgets and agree them with senior management
- Recruit, train, manage and motivate staff
- Respond to customer queries and complaints
- Meet and greet customers, and offer advice about drinks and wine choices
- Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
- Manage stock levels, order supplies and prepare cash drawers and petty cash.
