F&B Supervisor, £30,400 per annum + Overtime at One Great George Street, London
The Institution of Civil Engineers is a thriving establishment renowned for its exceptional hospitality and culinary experiences. Our Catering/One-Great-George-Street department is at the heart of our operations, delivering outstanding food and beverage services to our diverse clientele.
The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team. This is a key role encompassing operational responsibility for Kendal Cafés lunch service, room service, events, conferences and meetings within the catering department. You will be instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of service excellence while managing staff, food service, room setups, and logistics.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take charge of planning and executing all logistical aspects of catering outlets and events, guaranteeing a seamless customer experience.
- Conduct staff briefings, delegate tasks, and foster a strong team environment to deliver exceptional service.
- Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and feedback is incorporated to enhance future experiences.
- Contribute to cost control by managing budgets, monitoring equipment and stock levels, and optimizing resource allocation.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management.
- Serve as the Incident Controller and Duty Manager during out-of-hours, ensuring the safety of the building and its occupants.
What we are looking for:
- A highly motivated individual with strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Proven background in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent customer service orientation and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- NVQ/HNC or above in Hospitality/Catering Management (desirable) and WSET basic wines & spirits certificate or equivalent (desirable).
- £30,450 + Overtime
- 25 days holiday + 8 Public holidays + Christmas shutdown
