The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Key Account Manager to join a market-leading organisation within the food service and catering sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key client relationships, driving new business, and delivering exceptional account management across their designated territory.This field-based role offers autonomy and flexibility, with monthly visits to the company’s headquarters near Bristol.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients to ensure high levels of retention, loyalty, and satisfaction.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the food service and catering industries, including restaurants, catering firms, hotels, and other relevant venues.
  • Maximise sales potential by developing effective account strategies and collaborating with internal teams and supplier partners.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, providing tailored solutions and exceptional customer service.
  • Keep up to date with trends and developments within the food service and catering sectors to maintain a competitive edge.
Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will bring the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in field-based account management or sales, ideally within the food service, catering, or hospitality sectors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders.
  • Proactive and results-driven, with a focus on identifying and seizing business opportunities.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple accounts effectively.
  • Strong understanding of the UK’s food service, catering, and leisure industries.
  • Proficiency in IT, including MS Office (Word, Excel), and the ability to adapt to bespoke systems.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Desirable: Experience in hospitality operations (front or back of house) such as restaurants, bars, or hotels.
