National Operations Manager with progressive Multi-Site Management experience, ideally within a fast-food restaurant, excellent leadership, communication and people skills is required to join our team at Papa John’s / Supermac’s, Ireland’s largest and fastest growing indigenous fast food restaurant group.

LOCATION: Based in HQ in Galway,Ireland with travel to other locations as required

PLEASE NOTE: This position is based in Galway,Ireland and you will be required to relocate from the UK or Europe to Ireland. We will provide immediate subsidised accommodation on your arrival in Ireland.

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a National Operations Manager with progressive Multi-Site Management experience, ideally within a fast-food restaurant, excellent leadership, communication and people skills.

Working as a National Operations Manager you will provide overall leadership and supervision to the entire pizza staff of the restaurants in your area to ensure that the restaurant meets or exceeds the targets established for their individual unit.

The National Operations Manager oversees the pizza operations within each store, to ensure KPI’s are achieved, in terms of quality, quantity of deliveries, delivery times, accuracy of orders, and ongoing business development objectives to positively impact the success of Papa Johns within the Supermac’s Group.

Sound leadership ensures stores are operating to company standards. Support from the Supermac’s Operations Team/ Marketing/ HR/ Managing Director is given when needed to facilitate alignment of goals with that of the overall company. However, the Papa John’s National Operations Manager largely dictates the specific day to day operations of the pizza area. Within that scope fall many key functions such as budgeting, staffing, training, marketing, community involvement, inventory control, labour control, onboarding of drivers etc.

As National Operations Manager you will also be responsible for driving the business in your location, continuously striving to expand and promote the brand at all levels.

DUTIES

  • Ensuring a standard of quality and efficiency in the accurate delivery of products to customers
  • Effectively utilising company resources, schedule, deploy and manage training, providing necessary resources, and constantly working to better the KPI’s whilst developing strong working relationships with corporate departments and operations team
  • Provide quality customer service to build and maintain a customer base; create and participate in customer-orientated programmes and maintain a strong presence in the community; respond to customer concerns or issues including customer complaints received through Head Office ensuring appropriate and timely resolution; solicit customer feedback
  • Recruit, develop, reward and retain the best operations leaders in the industry; maintain adequate staffing levels; communicate performance expectations and conduct performance reviews
  • Ensure market profitability; adhering to and ensuring compliance with Papa John’s policies, practices and procedures by effectively utilising company resources, monitoring training, providing necessary resources and regularly visiting restaurants; completing administrative duties; monitoring proper delivery area sizes; and remaining current on operational changes and deploying changes utilising market resources
  • Identify new opportunities for sales growth; implement effective targeted marketing and district developmental strategies and plans
  • Plan, organise, and direct successful new store openings and relocations by; recruiting, staffing, training, advertising and marketing, pre-opening runs, and grand opening celebrations

  • Progressive Management Experience and multi-site Management
  • Demonstrates principled leadership and sound business sense
  • Delegates tasks to the most appropriate Manager, is able to remain in control in difficult situations
  • Communicates restaurant goals and a motivating vision; links individual General Management performance to achieving restaurant goals
  • Provides clear direction and authority and is assertive
  • Regularly coaches Management to drive for results, is a role model in display of professionalism
  • Mindful of crossover between Supermac’s & Papa Johns, loves both brands, drives the Papa Johns brand
  • Happy to re-locate to Ireland
  • Must hold a valid Driving Licence
