The Twenty Two, a luxury lifestyle hotel with an all-day public restaurant and a private members club, on Londons historic Grosvenor Square.

Set within a listed Edwardian manor, this boutique property (and once single-family home) has a rich history of decadent hosts, candle lights and shadows to become a westsidehide-a-way for creative cohorts and a venue that promotes the opportunity for ideas to grow.

The Role

The Restaurant Manager at The Twenty Two is responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient running of the restaurant on a daily basis. The role involves managing both the front-of-house service and the overall dining experience to ensure it meets the club's high standards. The Restaurant Manager is accountable for all aspects of the restaurant's operations, including team management, financial performance, and maintaining excellent service standards.

Key Responsibilities

1.Operational Management

a.Ensure the restaurant operates smoothly during service, maintaining the highest standards of customer experience and operational efficiency.

b.Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure food and drink service aligns with member expectations and club standards.

c.Monitor cleanliness, presentation, and overall ambiance of the restaurant to maintain an inviting atmosphere.

d.Resolve member complaints and service issues promptly and professionally, ensuring member satisfaction is prioritized.

e.Regularly review service procedures and operational workflows to identify areas for improvement.

f.Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.

2.Financial Management

a.Oversee the restaurants financial performance, ensuring operations stay within budget.

b.Monitor key financial metrics, such as labor costs, food and beverage costs, and revenue, ensuring efficiency and profitability.

c.Track inventory and manage ordering to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste.

d.Collaborate with senior management on menu pricing and development, ensuring the menu meets both financial targets and member expectations.

e.Produce regular financial reports, analyzing performance and making data-driven decisions to optimize results.

3.Team Management & Development

a.Lead and motivate the restaurant team, ensuring all staff members understand and consistently deliver the clubs high standards of service.

b.Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure they are equipped to provide exceptional service and grow within their roles.

c.Set clear performance expectations for staff and conduct regular reviews to provide feedback and development opportunities.

d.Ensure effective scheduling of staff, balancing operational needs with labor cost control.

e.Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.

4.Member Relations

a.Build strong relationships with club members, ensuring their preferences and expectations are understood and consistently met.

b.Maintain an active presence on the floor during service to engage with members and ensure their satisfaction.

c.Work closely with the Events team to manage private bookings and special occasions, ensuring seamless coordination of dining services.
