We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our 47-cover restaurant located in the heart of Central London. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing a small but dedicated team, and driving the restaurants success through efficient operations and innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Daily Operations: Oversee all aspects of the restaurant's day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth service, staff coordination, and customer satisfaction.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage a small team of kitchen and front-of-house staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Customer Service: Ensure a high standard of customer service by addressing guest concerns, managing reservations, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Financial Management: Monitor the restaurants financial performance, manage budgets, control costs (including food and labor), and maximize profitability.
- Inventory and Stock Control: Oversee ordering and inventory of food, beverages, and other supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained without wastage.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the restaurant complies with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, including maintaining records and completing regular checks.
- Marketing & Promotions: Collaborate with marketing teams to create and implement local promotions, seasonal events, and initiatives that attract new guests.
- POS and Technology Management: Efficiently operate and manage the POS system, handle cash flow, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Menu Coordination: Work closely with the head chef to update and refine menus, ensuring offerings align with customer preferences and seasonal availability.
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, ideally within a similar-sized, high-end or mid-scale restaurant.
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach to managing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage both staff and guests.
- Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and profit and loss tracking.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations within the hospitality sector.
- Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in the use of restaurant management software and POS systems.
- Previous experience in managing restaurants in Central London or similar locations.
