The following safety qualifications are essential for the role:-
- Fire Safety (Primary Module) or equivalent
- Local Safety Induction
- Working at Heights
- Certified Competent in Personal Track Safety
- Manual Handling
- Ladder & Scaffold Trained
- Certified Competent to latest IEE Wiring Regulations
- UK Driving License
The successful candidate must also have essential Electrical qualifications:-
- recognised C&G, NVQ qualifications.
- BS7671 18th Edition City & Guilds qualification.
- C&G 2391 Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations
- C&G 2394 Initial Verification
- C&G 2395 Periodic Inspection and TestingExisting Installations or equivalent.
The successful candidate would be expected to be:-
- Computer literate.
- possess an ability to use a wide variety of tools and equipment.
- possess good communication skills.
- Have an understanding of COSHH, Confined Spaces, Hot Work, High Voltage regulations etc
- Be able to organise daily and weekly activities to ensure work meets required timescales.
- Have an ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Be flexibility in approach
- Be able to write reports clearly and concisely.
- Being accountable for routine maintenance of depot plant and equipment at 2 depots
- Being accountable for fault finding and repair of depot plant and equipment at 2 depots.
- Being accountable for undertaking minor New Works relating to plant and equipment at 2 depots.
- Assisting contractors in undertaking maintenance, repair and new works at the depots as required.
- Assisting in the identification and purchase of equipment and materials required in undertaking maintenance, repair and new works at the depots as required.
- Complete, and where required file, maintenance and repair documentation relating to plant and equipment at the 2 depots.
- Assist contractors undertaking Driver Only Operated (DOO) equipment maintenance and repair at stations as required.
