The Impact You Will Have

• Working within a workshop environment to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of material handling equipment, such as forklifts and powered industrial trucks.
• Performing routine maintenance and ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards.
• Identifying the root cause of mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues and determining cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborating with the workshop team to prioritise tasks and deliver timely repairs.
• Carrying out final inspections to ensure all equipment is safe, functional, and meets customer requirements before returning it to service.
• Completing accurate job and service documentation, ensuring all records are up to date.
• Proactively identifying any additional repairs required and informing customers of potential costs while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

What Will Help You To Excel In This Role

• Relevant technical qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic engineering (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Proven experience working in a workshop-based engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Good time management and organisational skills to prioritise workload effectively.
• A focus on delivering exceptional service and understanding customer needs.
