Job title: Housekeeper / Cleaner
Location: Battersea Bridge House Hospital, 1 Randall Close, Battersea, London SW11 3TG
Rate Of Pay: £13 per hour
Shift Patterns: Part time, 16 hours per week, Permanent, weekend cover
Information about the Role:
Working as a Housekeeper / Cleaner at Battersea Bridge House Hospital your duties will include the following:
- Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Manager to the required Company standards. Cleaning duties can be in any area of the service.
- Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping surfaces in work area’s including living/working areas, bathrooms, kitchens, and supply closets.
- Refilling and restocking cleaning supplies and toiletries (hand wash, toilet paper, paper towels).
- Maintaining cleaning products and ordering new supplies when necessary.
- Emptying bins.
- Conducting disinfection and deep cleaning.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene
- To be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of the residents.
- To comply with COSHH regulations.
- To adhere to infection control polices at all times.
- To ensure the correct use of PPE.
- Carry out other ad hoc duties as requested by the Manager.
Information about the Service:
Battersea Bridge House Hospital aims to provide a safe, caring, supportive and therapeutic environment for 21 patients with acute mental health presentations in order to help them recover and return home as quickly as possible.
We provide a high quality, safe and secure environment. We offer person centred care with individualised treatment care plans. We work closely with locality community and crisis/home treatment teams to ensure a safe and and well coordinated admission and discharge pathway.
Experience and qualifications to work as a Housekeeper:
- Someone who has a real passion for cleaning.
- Ideally 6-months experience of working as a Cleaner.
- Ability to work on shift/rota pattern.
- Have the right to the work in the UK.
- Excellent organisation and housekeeping skills.
- In-depth knowledge of cleaning solution and their uses.
- Working knowledge of health and safety standards in their industry.
