We are currently collaborating with a luxury textile company that has quickly established itself as one of the largest purveyors of premium quality fabrics for the home worldwide.

They prioritise developing the highest quality fabrics using time-honoured techniques and supply some of the most prestigious stores and retailers globally.

This exciting role of Business Development Manager involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing clients across the UK. You will act as the main point of contact, ensuring high levels of service and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales Development & Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients across the UK.
  • Develop sales and marketing strategies to engage, develop and appeal to a range of clients including; interior designers, architects, small, medium and large retailers.
  • Assist in the negotiation and closing of sales agreements, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely delivery.
  • Maintain and expand the customer database through consistent follow-ups, leads generation, and cold-calling.
  • Provide expert guidance to clients regarding textile fabric options, understanding their needs, and recommending suitable solutions.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, fabric innovations, and market demands to better serve clients.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to the CEO. Assist with sales forecasting, target setting, and pipeline management to ensure growth and profitability.
  • Customer Support & Relationship Management:
  • Act as the main point of contact for key accounts, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
  • Resolve customer queries and issues promptly, ensuring positive customer experiences and repeat business.


Requirements:


  • Proven experience in sales, with a focus on textile fabrics, across the UK and ideally also across the EMEA region.
  • A strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and building long-term customer relationships.
  • Solid understanding of the textile fabric industry, including market trends, product knowledge, and customer needs.
  • Familiarity with various fabric types (e.g., cotton, linen, synthetics) and their applications in different sectors is highly desirable.


Skills:


  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience with sales analytics and reporting tools is a plus.
