£35,000 - £42,000 Base + Uncapped Commission

Exciting opportunity for a highly driven business development manager excited by marketing and tech and the prospect of travel trips to Vegas.

A rare opportunity to join one of the industry’s most prominent event organisers working on arguably the most successful digital marketing conference in the US.

Our client is host to the biggest digital marketing conference in the US with a truly mind-blowing pedigree of speakers including Richard Branson, Magic Johnson, Martha Stewart, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. 

Crucially, they don’t run your typical conference, so if you’re looking for a bunch of corporates in suits, they might not be for you. 

They bring together SMBs, bloggers, Instagram influencers and the world’s largest ecommerce brands. 

The role centres on driving new business revenue across their flagship conferences in Las Vegas (and yes you will get to travel there ….several times a year)

You will be tasked with selling bespoke sponsorship and exhibition packages to founder led marketing tech companies, primarily based in the US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Prospecting and new business development.
  • Writing and sending effective sales proposals.
  • Development of new accounts.
  • Managing existing clients and increasing their spend across their Portfolio.
  • Managing SPEX clients on-site at the events.
  • Managing the re-book process for your client’s pre-show, on-site and post-event. 

Profile of Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a b2b sales role (exhibition sales desirable).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding and ability to demonstrate core sales skills.
  • Ambitious, driven to succeed, passionate about growth.
  • Good negotiator with ability to successfully deal with objections and close.
  • Administration skills - organised and well-prepared.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work comfortably under pressure.
  • Highly driven and self-motivated.
