Key objectives of a Business Development Manager:
- Maximising opportunities from an existing ledger alongside business creation with new customers to achieve monthly sales and margin targets.
- Work closely with the Branch Manager and internal sales team to obtain and convert enquiries into orders.
- Exceed customer expectations to become the supplier of choice.
Key Skills of a Business Development Manager:
- Hunger and determination to increases revenue streams from existing customers and source new customer business.
- Commercially astute with demonstrable record of managing margins.
- Effective sales knowledge of at least one of the following product sectors: insulation or drylining systems.
- Effective sales knowledge of at least one of the following contractor sectors: drylining, ground workers, roofing, cladding, main contractor.
- Experience of being accountable for a minimum annual sales budget of £2m p.a.
- Exemplary work ethic and team player.
- Strive for excellence in all sales and customer related matters.
- Strong sales administration disciplines quote management, CRM system, diary management etc.
- Self-management to effectively operate in an external sales role, with diverse and widespread customers.
