Business Development Manager (UK Events) - London - Salary: £35,000 - £40,000, plus uncapped commission scheme, OTE earnings approx. £55k to £65k

Our client, a leading legal publishing and events company in London, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining new/existing client relationships, and working closely with the events team to deliver outstanding event experiences.
Responsibilities for the role of Business Development Manager include:
- Proactively research and engage with new prospects to understand their needs and how they want to work with the UK Legal Community
- Qualify leads and guide them through the event sales cycle
- Engage with Partners and Marketing specialists in the world's top-ranked law firms
- Close deals to meet individual and team targets
- Maintain and update the CRM system
- Accurately report and maintain a pipeline of potential clients and represent the company at various events
- Conduct follow-up meetings and gather client feedback to improve future events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs
Requirements for the role of Business Development Manager include:
- A strong background in sales and business development
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication
- Reliable, diligent, and professional when dealing with clients and colleagues
- Competitive and ambitious in achieving targets
- Customer-focused and effective at problem-solving
- Ability to travel, not fully exclusive to the UK
- Minimum 1 year sales experience
