Job Purpose, Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the autonomy to build and execute strategies targeting key players within the Banking, Financial Services, Investments, and Private Equity sectors.
Your experience in selling Data Solutions or Intelligence Solutions will be pivotal as you carve out a new space for Axco within these industries.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading our Launch: Drive the introduction and sales of Axco’s new data product, Navigator, to insurers, reinsurers, consultants, and financial institutions.
- End-to-End Sales Management: Oversee the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing, ensuring revenue targets are not just met but exceeded. This includes preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing the sales pipeline.
- Strategic Growth: Focus on increasing both the quantity and quality of opportunities within the sales pipeline, ensuring consistent and sustainable growth in established and emerging markets.
- Network Utilisation: Leverage your professional network to open doors, establish strategic partnerships, and build strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- Market Insight: Stay ahead of market trends and customer needs, using insights to refine sales strategies and positioning.

What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you must have/be:
- Demonstrable success in business development and B2B data sales, ideally within Banking, Financial Services, Investments, or Private Equity.
- A natural relationship-builder with a strong existing network and the ability to expand it.
- Exceptional networking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills and the drive to develop your professional network.
- Highly motivated, with a passion for achieving and surpassing sales targets.
- Creative thinker with the ability to identify and seize new business opportunities.
- Capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information persuasively.
- Proficient in Salesforce, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
To be successful in this role, it would be great if you have:
An in-depth understanding of the data needs and challenges of the insurance industry or private equity firms and investment banks.
