Business Development Manager –Established Cider Brand – Midlands – Up to £40k + Bonus

My client is an established and much loved family owned CIDER brand which is starting to expand their leadership team. This brand is not only multi-award winning, but building their market share rapidly across both the On and Off trade.

The Business Development Manager will be primarily responsible for signing and securing new listings for the business. The Business Development Manager will need to build on the brand reputation, ensure budgets and targets are secured whilst delivering on the sales strategies in place.

The ideal candidate will have a LOVE for Cider, a network of contacts across the midlands and enjoy working as part of a small (but growing) team!

Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business growth by increasing sales volumes and securing new business within the ON & OFF trade sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships.
  • Develop and execute tailored sales strategies to meet customer needs and company objectives.
  • Manage the commercial aspects of accounts, including pricing, contract negotiations, and profit margins.
  • Regularly meet with customers to discuss product offerings, market trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, logistics, finance) to deliver seamless customer service.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to stay ahead of the industry landscape.

The Ideal Business Development Manager candidate:

  • Previous experience working in the Drinks Sector across the Midlands.
  • Be a self-starter who is driven to succeed – a strong connection and network would be preferred.
  • Proven track record in delivering growth in the drinks industry.
  • A customer-oriented approach to account management which aims to exceed expectations.
  • A strong and assertive style to self-management and motivation.
  • Able to negotiate, delivery training and competently explain a alcoholic product range
  • Must be able to drive
