Role: Business Development Manager (Sponsorship) - Home and Business Renovations
Sector: Housing & Corporate Sponsorships
Pay: 42,000 (Plus commission)
Hybrid: 3 days office based (Canary Wharf)

Overview:

Take the lead on this newly created role (due to company growth), in a high-value sponsorships and exhibition sales for one of Europe's biggest housing events. Work with independent and reputable retailers.

You will join an organisation of 200+ people, working under a driven and supportive Sales Leader who has a drive for growth. A new and energised CEO is looking to make to take this organisation to new heights so it's a great time to join.

We're looking for an experienced sponsorship professional with at least 3 years in your current role. You will be joining a reputable and leading events business, with a strong focus on the Home and Business Renovations sector. The ideal candidate will have a commercial mindset and understands the value of purpose- driven partnerships, alongside generating new business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sales efforts for sponsorships and exhibition space with a commercial and holistic view on sales
  • Develop relationships with existing and new well-known retailers, to drive sponsorships
  • Work closely with the Senior Manager who has a wealth of experience within this sector, alongside the wider team to support with the growth of housing and homes portfolio.
  • Expand the event's reach into new client areas and markets.
  • Commercially aware and astute with gravitas and a growth mindset.

Key Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in sponsorship or event sales with a well -known media or events company.
  • Good tenure proving sales expansion over a 3 year sales cycle
  • Proven ability to manage high-value accounts and close strategic deals.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in exhibitions, maintaining relationships, negotiating contracts
