Summary of the Business Development Manager role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join a leading cleaning company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. The Business Development Manager will develop and implement strategic sales plans, negotiate contracts, and expand our clients market presence within the commercial, residential, and industrial cleaning sectors.

Business Development Manager Deliverables / Outcomes (include but are not limited to):

Lead Generation & Sales:
  • Identify and target new business opportunities in commercial, residential, and industrial cleaning sectors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients, property managers, facility managers, and businesses.
  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and online research.

Strategic Business Development:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential service areas.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to create campaigns that attract new clients.

Client Relationship Management:
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Provide customised cleaning solutions based on client needs.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups and address client concerns proactively.

Proposal & Contract Negotiation:
  • Prepare and present service proposals, quotes, and contracts.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms to close deals while maintaining company profitability.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate sales records and provide regular reports on business development activities.
  • Analyse sales performance and suggest improvements for business growth.
  • Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies accordingly.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications Needed:
  • Minimum 35 years of sales or business development experience, preferably in the cleaning or facilities management industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to develop strategic partnerships and close deals.
  • Knowledge of commercial cleaning industry trends and best practices.
