Development Manager

Deverellsmith has partnered with a multi-award winning mixed-use developer.

The role

  • Develop, maintain, monitor and report against, detailed development appraisals, programmes and budgets
  • Ensure the design of the development is progressively signed off internally at appropriate stages
  • Monitor financial planning of development with the project financial controller
  • Monitor Town Planning risks and negotiations in consultation with planning team and consultants
  • Manage all negotiations with external stakeholders using relevant internal/external resources
  • Ensure project appraisal is accurate and reflects the scheme
  • Changes in appraisal resulting from design changes should be monitored and reported

What you need

  • More than five years of experience in a front-end DM position
  • Strong planning, feasibility and design experience
  • Experience in a joint venture or collaborative project environment, particularly with local authorities
  • Development aspirations are met in a cost-effective and timely manner
  • Effective communication between the project team
  • Interpersonal communication
  • Prioritisation and decision making
