As a Freight Account Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing client accounts and ensuring the seamless coordination of freight operations. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management. You will liaise with clients, carriers, and internal teams to facilitate efficient transportation solutions and uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service.

Freight Account Manager - Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, understanding their specific container and freight requirements, and providing tailored solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Schedule and oversee the movement of shipments with carriers (via truck, ocean, and air) to designated origin and destination points, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and customs declarations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Proactively identify and address potential issues such as shipping delays, service problems, or pricing discrepancies, implementing effective solutions to maintain service quality.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to optimise costs while maintaining high service standards.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, client interactions, and financial transactions, utilising company systems to ensure data integrity.
• Stay informed about industry regulations and standards, ensuring all freight activities comply with legal requirements and company policies.

Freight Account Manager - Requirements

• Proven experience in freight coordination, account management, or a similar role within the logistics industry.
• Strong understanding of shipping processes, government regulations, and international trade compliance.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.

• Salary 28,000 - 32,000
• Hybrid working (After probation)
• Standard Holiday & Bank Holidays (28 in total)
