Membership Business Development Manager
£50,000 - £55,000 per annum plus bonus
Permanent Hybrid working. 2/3 days in central London
Role Overview:
The Talent Set are partnering with a highly exciting Membership organisation who are looking for a Membership Business Development Manager. You will play a pivotal role in driving membership acquisition, retention, and community engagement. This position requires a strategic thinker with a customer centric approach and proven expertise in business development. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential members, and managing key partnerships to achieve growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the business development strategy to acquire new members and retain existing ones, ensuring a growing and engaged membership base.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to drive membership growth and engagement.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, including corporate partnerships, individual memberships, and potential affiliate networks.
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies, presentations, and marketing materials tailored to potential and existing members keeping them up to date with member benefits.
- Work closely with the marketing and events teams to create impactful campaigns that promote membership benefits and drive recruitment efforts.
- Manage and optimise the membership lifecycle, ensuring smooth onboarding processes, renewals, and member satisfaction.
- Monitor membership trends and competitor activity, making recommendations for service and product offerings based on industry insights.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on business development activities, KPIs, and growth achievements.
- Attend networking events and industry conferences to represent the organisation and attract new members.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience in business development, membership management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of membership-based models and the ability to build and sustain long-term relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing membership bases.
- Ability to develop strategic plans and execute them effectively.
- High level of professionalism, with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- A keen interest in developing and nurturing partnerships with key stakeholders.
